  2. CPK party is this week. The NJA convention was this past weekend. I'm sure there's some good gossip from that event.

    1. Saturday morning is going to be one hell of a hangover for the folks who started drinking on October 4 at the NJA convention, saw Monday was a holiday and figured they might as well keep going through the CPK party.

  3. On Twitter a bunch of people are boozing it up for the newest justice because of his love of beer so I guess talking CPK makes sense.

  6. The entries on the blog this week remind me of an important life lesson: Life is extremely short, with truly so little free time to spend with loved ones. Therefore, it is absolutely critical that we spend a lot of that extremely limited spare time time arguing anonymously with complete strangers about whether a judge is truly as bad as the other blogger thinks he/she is.

And, for what it's worth, the couple judges I singled out, truly are that bad. So there.I may lack maturity, but I compensate with other attributes, although I simply can't think of what they are at this time.

    1. To 4:35--You must be referring to the blogs of last week. That said, it's good to have a forum for discussing the judges, and we should not be dissuaded to do so despite your sarcasm.

That said, I am not one of those who evaluates based on whether I won an isolated motion. I try to have some sort of exposure level--like at least 6 or 8 hearings before that judge. I think once we have appeared before a judge several times on significantly contested matters, that is sufficient track record to form some meaningful views of the positives or negatives of such judge.

    2. 4:35 -- Let's not forget the other equally important pass time besides arguing with strangers on the internet: posting pictures of your cat.
