Self-Driving Lawyers

  • Robert Graham was indicted and arrested. [News3LV]
  • FBI identifies agent accused of tipping off Billy Walters. [RJ]
  • David Chesnoff is now representing Kirstin Lobato. [RJ]
  • CES officially starts today. Anything exciting going to come out of it?

  1. Hopefully Rob stays behind bars until he enters a plea and then goes to prison. They should make an example out of this thief.

  2. Good for Chesnoff. Seems like the "Conviction Review Unit" (Can't be called the Conviction Integrity Unit like other states because that implies that some convictions do not have integrity) should be stepping into the Lobato case immediately.

    1. I've heard the conviction review unit did take a look at this case, and was then taken off of it.

    2. Guess we'll have to see if this unit is just window dressing

    3. The conviction review unit will prove to be nothing but public relations.

    1. Let's not rule out the following formula for restitution:

RG writes a book about how this all happened...even an ebook (ZERO cost).

RG sells movie rights, since this is likely an interesting story.

RG Pays everyone back with interest, and sends his tithe to LDS.

Could this be the best possible outcome? And he could even do it behind bars!

    3. Ahh Yes! I can always count on an instant "lift me up" with just a quick little visit to this blog from my computer here in SoCal!
The filthy cesspool of inept duck terd eating bottom dwelling Siluriformes known as the Las Vegas Bar!
I could never under estimate the depths of the despicable and disgraceful nature of the practitioners in your kangaroo legal system!
Rob Graham , a 51 year old huckster of the LDS 9th order stealing money from the elderly and deceased.
I'm so glad you fucktards are East of me and the wind blows your stinch into Utah & Arizona!
Of course! there are accomplices you idiots!
BTW Is there even One somewhat capable patent licensing attorney in LV that can get your soon to be "coked out" , puck score game fixing, whore addicted NHL hockey team mascot licensed?
Oh so grateful to NOT be an attorney in your shit hole town !
Warm regards for the New Year shit bags!

    8. Absolutely we have patent attorneys in this town. Of course a patent will not mean fuck as far as the licensing question for the hockey team, but you Californians ignore details like the distinctions between a trademark and a patent. Too busy tithing to the state to worry about facts. Enjoy your smog! Enjoy your earthquakes and drought. In fact pretty few of the pestilences do not befall you. Fear not Californian. We will be there to piss on your graves.

    10. Silly Cali boy, everyone knows ducks don't make "terds" Duck stool is loose and watery. Also, everyone knows turds is spelled with a "u" and not an "e." We Nevada lawyers may not know how to practice law but we know duck feces.

  4. At the risk of the trolls...

The smart wearable breast pump. Yes, I am a working mother and was lucky enough to work at a firm that accommodated my need to pump without any repercussions.

Per CNN "fits in a woman's bra and silently pumps" and "Inside each pump is a collection bag that holds up to four ounces of milk. The three-piece system is dishwasher safe, and the batteries last for a couple days on a single charge" Best of all, not much more than the cost of the most expensive brand on the market which I used. The design does away with some of the associated costs (tubing, plastic cups, the handless bra thing, etc.

So, all in all, sounds more cost effective, easier to use, will allow for less interruption in the work (read billable hours) day, and allow for infants to be fed breast milk longer.

    1. I'll take this troll bait!
So basically what you're saying is that in all the current subject matters relating to "Las Vegas Law Blog" you want to start a thread discussion about what you "feel" is of a high importance matter relating to your ability to utilize a breast pump at work?
Being that you are a fellow counselor well versed in the art of deception... I call bullshit on your above post!
I bet you are one of those women who experience nipple arousal and sexual climax as a result of suction on your breasts and this is just an excuse to experience several orgasms throughout the day while at the desk billing the client hours for mundane contract review work.
Furthermore, any inference that this can at all be done discreetly is again bullshit because every male attorney in your firm has noticed your swollen mammories and the very evident circular creases in your blouse denoting your use of nipple pads for some time now. As you may or may not be aware of, these same male attorneys are very keen to the low constant hum of that discreet breast pump extracting milk when you are using it, and the accompanying leg twitches that indicate when you are climaxing.
You should also know that most of these male attorneys are stroking their cocks under their desks simultaneously with your use of this pump.
I suggest that you offer up said breasts for manual extraction by your fellow attorneys in your firm into a ziploc bag in exchange for a lower billable requirement!
And yes! I welcome all the hyper feminist replies to the contrary.
      Female attorneys are simply inferior.

    2. Sweet Jebus this is getting old. Sure, a single act of negligence, albeit fatal, is WORSE than years and years of deliberately, repeatedly and continuously exploiting the elderly and disabled for millions of dollars.

      Delete
    3. 4:45 and 5:11, you are old. I think it is refreshing in our profession when people speak out against people like Border. Killing is worse than stealing.

      Delete
    4. Refreshing, LOL. Some person has a grudge against another person and repeatedly attacks them on here anonymously, attempting to give the presentation of community consensus. What a joke. It gets old.

      Delete
    5. It is LOL, especially when you consider that anyone who defends Border is an asshole.

      Delete
    6. I know Border, and I am tired about people asking me about her.
Form whatever opinion you want about her, but stop asking me about it.

      Delete
    7. I used to wonder about the posse that was out to get her. It has become quite clear there is no posse; it is lone/couple of nutballs without any concept of law, negligence, intent. As with every other post you couple have made, I am sorry for your loss.

    11. Not Jim Murphy (not sure what Jim Murphy has to even do with this). Not defending her. She doesn't need defending. Her case is over.

    1. Didn't she pay for her crime and go to jail? Do you believe she is not incredibly remorseful for her reckless act? Don't you think it weighs heavily on her mind every day and night? Yes she did kill someone in a car accident because of impatience. There is no excusing that behavior. It was recklessness that caused the death, not actual intent to kill. That is horrible but it is obvious you do not know this lady. Of course you cannot defend her actions that caused the death of that poor man. I feel horrible for him and his family.I assume it is the same one or two people that constantly attack her on this blog. Pray for the deceased and family, pray for her, and pray for yourself to rid you of such bitterness.

      Delete
    2. No, I don't think she is remorseful. She is a sociopath just like her supporter(s). Give Jim my best.

      Delete
    3. You must know her well to make such a statement. Attempting to state fact does not make one a supporter of her or what she did. I just don't agree with you repeated juvenile insults of all who don't agree with you so I felt the need to speak out. I am @7:21.

    4. sorry typo your

    5. Nice try. I pray for you to grow a brain and some morals. I know her, and I don't care to know her well. Marisa is a bitch just like you.

      Delete
    6. Dude, face it. You are just not going to drum up a groundswell of support here. I am sorry for your loss. If it was my family member who got killed, I may well feel the same way you do. But the fact is, it was a tragic, reckless accident. Most of us have probably done something at least somewhat reckless or risky while driving at one time or another. You should try to find a productive outlet for your anger and grief because repeatedly posting here comments like Border is a sociopath because of an accident isn't accomplishing anything.

      Delete
    7. I never killed anyone. Borders did. I have no problem with the Border bashing. You do not speak for everyone, 7:45.

    8. Borders Boshko is hot. She can do me in the morning. She can do me in the night. She can do me when she want to do me...

    9. 7:45--they are correct. You do not speak for everyone. You do speak for everyone except the one poster who will not let it go.

      Delete
    10. None of you speak for me. Don't care for Border at all.

      Delete
    11. ah, border is not hot. Sorry. She looks good in an suv.

    16. I am an attorney, and I am disturbed by what Border did. First time posting.

    17. Have seen multiple comments about Marissa Borders that are mostly negative. Not all the same.

      Delete
    18. Border is not a nice person, and what she did was awful. No problem with the anti-posts against her. Feel bad for the motorcyclist she killed.

      Delete
    19. I also feel bad for the motorcyclist and his family. It was a terrible tragedy caused by her reckless driving. She has been punished and will live with this for a long time. I felt bad for his motorcycle gang until they decided to send a single poster who clogs up the blog. No sympathy any longer.

    23. Wow, 5 negative posts about Border within about 8 hours on just this one thread, and they aren't all the same. Those couldn't possibly be from the same person (or maybe 2 people). Obviously there's a whole army of lawyers out there who won't be satisfied until she is put to death.

    24. Border sucks!

    25. The only thing I see in this thread is Border repeating herself over and over again. Her comments seem callous toward the accident victim.

    26. @7:40. I attempted to post a civilized response and you in turn respond with petty insults and name calling.. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion and you have proven you are a name calling troll. Zero credibility. Have a nice life.

      Delete
    27. I don't think Border is commenting here at all and it is the same one or two trolls that are mixing it up a little attempting to appear as if it is many people making the negative Border comments fooling nobody. Move on if you can. seems like you are struggling to.

      Delete
    28. Amen. Sad for everyone involved. Time to move on.

      Delete
    29. Sad for the accident victim. I could give a damn about Border. Is she getting disciplined?

      Delete
    30. We should resist taking further troll bait and ignore the poster Voldemort style. I too tried a civilized response, but obviously the biker is just going to keep it up and retort with petty insults, name calling, and the same vacuous, repetitious anti-Border remarks. Biker, knock yourself out.

      Delete
    31. @7:11-- While I am generally of the mindset that civility requires a defense and standing up as against the uncivilized, in this case, I tend to agree. The lone biker needs to just be left alone.

  10. Totally new topic. If any minute part of the rest of the country didn't think we are a total joke legally, soon they will unite to 100%. Drive by our new Treasures looking Supreme Court building and be completely embarrassed with me that it is lit up in tacky neon lights. What clueless moron came up with that idea and what group of idiots agreed to it? I say this being a personal friend of several Nevada Supreme Court and Appellate Court members. I can only hope it is only an experiment and they will sober up and only use white spotlights. How much for a lap dance? Please do not perpetuate NV as a legal laughingstock.

    2. The new Supreme Court building is an architectural joke. The dome is tiny in comparison to the building. It looks cheap. Most Supreme Court buildings, most legal buildings, most legislative buildings, with statues have statues with the sword sheathed as a symbol of the majesty of the law which does not rely on violence for enforcement. But some idiot put a sword-swinging buckaroo on the building. The building is pompous; the building is cheap; if a gaming company created a casino to be called the Nevada Supreme Court, this is what the casino would look like.
