  2. Seriously, despite receiving less than favorable (to put it lightly) comments about myself, please stop saying all these horrible things about Gina. I don't know her personally, but I've seen pictures and she's not ugly and the picking on her has gone too far. At least if you're going to bash her, use your real name and don't hide behind "anonymous." To avoid someone saying Gina wrote this, I've manned up and exposed myself to further criticism by posting under my name.

We can do better as a profession than calling one another "ugly." This is bullying, but unlike how it was 20 years ago, we have adults using the Internet to try to hurt their peers and embarrass them.

If you want to criticize someone for being a pain in the ass, so be it.

I am the "c*ntasaurus" and I approve this message. (Now lighten up everyone, please).

    1. Speaking of bashing...weren't you involved in a DV incident?

    2. No, Gina Bonjovi does an adequate enough job to embarrass herself.

    3. Heard Gina Bongiovi speak at UNLV. She sucks!

  3. Is there any Judge on the bench at any level who is nastier than Nancy Koppe? She is just off the map.

    1. Nope. Koppe is a special kind of looney tunes. Class A idiot

    2. Cadish can be nasty.

    3. Cadish has a mean streak, but she does her best to fair to the injured party.

    4. Cadish holds peoples' feet to the fire. Koppe is seriously crazy and nasty.

  4. Legions of qualified and experienced attorneys and Reid gives us this nominee for the bench? Yes, of course, her politics are sound, and it gives Reid great comfort to know that transgendered illegal immigrant drug dealers will get special love from our newest judge. But what about someone who is there to process cases based a depth of personal experience litigating them?!

    1. I'm pretty sure she spent 2 years at DOJ ENRD, 2 years at the USAO, and several years at the FPD. I agree that law profs. are usually better suited for appellate work, but I think this prof. at least has the requisite trial experience.

    2. She is solid and both experienced and qualified. You obviously do not know her.

      Delete
    3. She has 10 years of experience in government service. So obviously she's ready for a lifetime appointment (rather than, say, a magistrate judge appointment).

    4. Since you expressly mentioned Judge Ferenbach, I will say that I actually asked him about his interest in Judge Jones' spot when I met him at a mixer. He said that for a lot of Magistrate Judges, it does not make financial sense to become a District Judge, due to issues with pensions.

As for Judge Cadish, I would have no objection to her appointment, but we know that she's already been blocked by Sen. Heller, so what's the point in trying again while he's still around?

I don't know if Prof. Traum would be a good judge or not. Give us some names that would be better, who would actually make it through the appointment process, and who would actually take the job.

    5. 1:10 - I know her well and she is neither experienced or qualified for a federal district court position. Most of her work at the FPD was in appeals, not trials. I doubt that she has first chaired more than 1 or 2 trials in her entire career. She is very experienced in sucking up to people in power and putting on a great show for those she wants to impress. She excels at self-promotion. She writes well but she doesn't know how to work with other people. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of better choices for this appointment.
