It's Friday, Friday....Open Thread.

It's Friday again and the floor is open. Talk amongst yourselves. We'll give you some topics:

As Hawkeye noted, there is a lot to talk about with regard to Judge Steven Jones and the top secret judicial discipline committee. The RJ's Jane Morrison did a fairly comprehensive primer here.

Las Vegas is getting a new (725) area code in 2014, requiring 10-digit dialing for calls across the valley. If you're learning this news for the first time here, the bad news is all the good internet domains with 725 and law are taken. (Shout-out to Michael Hyte, Esq., the quick thinking new owner of 725law.com.) The good news is there is still a chance to get the number you always wanted, but you're going to have to beat Richard Harris in a race for all the numbers consisting entirely of the same digit. (This news must be causing his advertising department some consternation.)

Finally, in boxing news, (wait, boxing news?) the Nevada Athletic Commission approved a promoters license for rapper 50 Cent.  It also decided on the three judges for Pacquiao-Marquez IV--wisely choosing one judge from Nevada, one from New Jersey, and one from out of the country.  If only we had that kind of system in our courts!
